A Project Competition “INNOVISION - 2017” was organized by Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida on 1st April 2017 . 46 projects were displayed during the competition. Go Cart, Compressor less Refrigerator, Floating Trash Boat and Smart Parking System projects from the Mechanical Engineering Department reached in top 15 projects. The projectees were awarded with the certificates.

Innovation Festival 2017 was held at National Sciences Centre, Pragati Maidan from 20 - 23 Jan 2017. Prof. TPN Singh, Advisor (R&D) and Mr. Ankush Yadav, Asst. Prof. Mechanical Engineering Department visited the centre on 20 Jan 2017 to witness the projects. The festival was inaugurated by Mr. R. K. Kotnala, Chief Scientist, National Physical Laboratory, Govt. of India. Three Projects Human Power Electricity Generator, Advanced Agro Robot and Smart Parking System of ME Department were selected for display at the Pragati Maidan and awarded with certificate of appreciation.

A national level project competition “INGENIUM 2016” was organized by Quest Global Engineering Services. project titled “Advanced Agro - Robot” made by student of VII semester Mechanical Engineering Branch was shortlisted from 8060 projects for demonstration & display on 19th September at Hotel Park Plaza, Bangalore. The projectees were awarded with participation certificate during the competition.

National Design Competition on Engineeria - 2016 was organised by Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida in Association with CADD Centre, Dwarka on 30 September, 2016. National design competition is a platform open to all the students from Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Architecture, Automobile, Industrial Production, and Product Design for displaying their talents in digital design skills. 150 students from Mechanical Engineering Branch & Civil Engineering Branch participated in the competition & One student Mohit of ME Department reached in final round and awarded with the certificates.

DGI, Greater Noida, organized an online NPTEL Course during the odd semester 2016-2017. NPTEL provides E-learning through online Web and Video courses various streams. Six students from V sem , Mechanical Engineering Branch got elite certificate for the course titled "Manufacturing Process Technology part-II".
