3 Days NSS Camp
6th – 8th March 2026
NSS Units of Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida organized a three-days NSS Camp from 6th to 8th March 2026 on the college campus. The camp witnessed the enthusiastic participation of 50 NSS volunteers. The main objective of the camp was to develop leadership qualities, discipline, teamwork, and a spirit of national integration among the students.
The camp commenced with an inaugural ceremony that began with the traditional lighting of the lamp, symbolizing knowledge and positivity. The ceremony was held in the esteemed presence of Dr. Sangeeta Mangesh(Director), Dr. Shailesh Singh(Registrar), and Dr. Pawan Sharma(HOD, APS) and Prof. Mamta Bhardwaj (NSS, Program Officer). The dignitaries addressed the volunteers and motivated them to actively participate in the activities while highlighting the importance of social service alongside academic development.
Throughout the camp, students took part in several skill-based and educational activities. The volunteers received training in March past, knot tying, and tent making, which helped them develop discipline, coordination, and practical survival skills.
To encourage teamwork and promote cultural awareness, the 50 volunteers were divided into five groups representing different Indian states: Bihar, Kashmir, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, and Punjab. Each group learned how to set up tents and creatively decorate them according to the culture, cuisine, attire, and traditions of their assigned state. This activity enabled students to explore the rich cultural diversity of India and strengthened the spirit of unity and national integration.
The volunteers were also trained in the proper procedures of flag hoisting and flag furling, which helped them understand the protocol and respect associated with the national flag.
The camp concluded with a closing ceremony in which each group presented cultural performances representing their assigned states through songs, dramas, and dance. The presentations showcased the creativity, enthusiasm, and teamwork of the participants.
During the camp, volunteers were also provided with refreshments and lunch, which allowed them to interact informally and build stronger bonds with one another.
The NSS Camp concluded with the distribution of certificates to all participating volunteers. Overall, the camp proved to be a memorable and enriching experience that helped students develop discipline, leadership skills, cultural awareness, and a strong commitment to social service.
