NashaMuktYuva Programme under Viksit Bharat SankalpAbhiyan

The NSS Units of Dronacharya Group of Institutions (DGI), Greater Noida organized a “NashaMuktYuva” Awareness Programme on 18 September 2026 under the Viksit Bharat SankalpAbhiyan. The programme aimed to create awareness among students about the harmful effects of drug and substance abuse and to inspire the youth to contribute towards building a healthy and NashaMukt Bharat.
The programme commenced with ceremonial lamp lighting by our Director Prof. (Dr). SangeetaMangeshkaryakarte, along with our Registrar Prof.(Dr). Shailesh Kumar Singh and various Heads of departments of DGI. The ceremony symbolized a collective commitment towards awareness, responsibility, and a healthier society.
Around 300 students actively participated in the programme and took the NashaMukt Bharat Pledge, committing themselves to staying away from drugs and substance abuse and spreading awareness among their peers, families, and society.
A major highlight of the programme was an impactful NukkadNatak (Street Play) presented by the NSS volunteers on the theme “NashaMukt Bharat.” Through powerful dialogues and performances, the students highlighted the physical, psychological, social, and academic consequences of substance abuse and conveyed the importance of making healthy and responsible choices.
Addressing the gathering, Director Dr.SangeetaMangesh emphasized the importance of a healthy and disciplined lifestyle. She encouraged students to stay away from addictive substances and become responsible citizens who can contribute positively towards the vision of a developed and drug-free India.
The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, faculty members, and departmental representatives. It successfully reinforced the message of “NashaMuktYuva, NashaMukt Bharat” and highlighted the vital role of youth in realizing the objectives of Viksit Bharat.
The programme concluded with a collective commitment by the participants to spread awareness about the dangers of substance abuse and encourage others to adopt a healthy, productive, and responsible lifestyle.
