Slogan Writing Competition On Ethical Voting (Matdaata Youth Festival)

NSS Wing of Dronacharya Group of institutions, Greater Noida organized a Slogan Writing Competition on Ethical Voting on 13th January 2017 in observance of the Matdaata Youth Festival to create awareness and motivate young voters to caste their vote in upcoming elections ethically. Student coordinators, Madhwesh Upadhyay and Divya Chaturvedi of APS Department led the Pledge taking ceremonyon this occasion. The students, participants and faculty members took pledge for casting their votesethically. Students from twelve different colleges also participated in this festival.

Youth Festival (Celebration of Voters Day)

NSS WING of Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida participated in Youth Festival for Voters Day Celebration at Gautam Buddha University, Greater Noida, on 23rd January 2017.The objective of the event was to inculcate the feel of ethical voting in young voters. The event was Organized by District Administration, Gautam Buddha Nagar. Prof. (Dr.) Abhishek Swami, Faculty Coordinator of DGI NSS Wing along with 36 NSS Volunteers participated in the festival.

Neighborhood Youth Parliament on Ethical Voting For Sustainable Development and Young Voters

NSS WING of Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida participated in Neighborhood Youth Parliament on Ethical Voting for Sustainable Development and Young Voters on 24th January2017, at Balak Inter College, Gautam Buddha Nagar. The program was organized by District Administration, Greater Noida in association with Nehru Yuva Kendra (NYK), Ministry of Youth Affairs; Sports, Govt. of India, New Delhi and Election Commission of India. Chief - Guest Mr. N. P. Singh (IAS), DM (Gautam Buddha Nagar) and Mr. U.P. Singh, Deputy Director, Nehru Yuva Kendra, Gautam Buddha Nagar appealed for responsible voting and emphasized that each citizen above the age of 18 years must vote as this is not only our fundamental right but a responsibility too.

Quiz Competition (In Observance of National Voters Day)

With an objective to motivate young voters for ethical voting and inculcate the feeling of Nationality, NSS Wing of Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida organized a Quiz Competition in commemoration of National Voters Day on 25th January 2017 at Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida. The students, faculty and staff members took a pledge for ethical voting on this occasion. The quiz consisted of 25 objective questions, which the participants were required to answer in 30 minutes. Krishna Kumar Yadav of CSE 2nd semester won Bronze medal in the quiz competition.

Shaheed Diwas - 2017 (Homage To The Martyrs)

On 30th January 2017, the volunteers of Youth Action Group and NSS Wing of Dronacharya Group of Institutions (DGI), Greater Noida observed Shaheed Diwas in memory of freedom fighters who were martyred in India's freedom struggle. The event was observed by the students of DGI, Greater Noida in association with Nehru Yuva Kendra, Gautam Buddh Nagar. Speaking on the occasion, the Chief - Guest Mr. U. P. Singh, Deputy Director, Nehru Yuva Kendra explained Gandhi ji’s role in the freedom struggle. Guest of Honour Dr. I. D. Singh Yadav, Associate Professor, Govt. P. G. College, Noida told the contribution of Youth in Nation Building.

A Webinar on “Geo - Portal Application for e- Governance  was  organized by Indian Institute of Remote Sensing (IIRS), Dehradun under distance learning program through edusat on 31st  January 2017 at Dronacharya Group   of Institutions, Greater Noida. The webinar was conducted by Dr. Harish C Karnataka (Head & Scientist SF, GIT&DL) IIRS, Dehradun. First year students of B.Tech CSE and CIVIL department attended the webinar along with Ms. Kiran Singh (Assistant Professor, APS). Dr. Karnataka gave a brief introduction to geospatial technology and explained Geo-portal application, popular geoportal and their services. The webinar also covered GIS & Information Technology, e- Governance and role of GIS.

On the auspicious day of Saraswati Puja, 1st February 2017, the students, faculty and staff of Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida, came together to seek the blessings of the goddess of knowledge, music, art and culture. The ritual was graced with the presence of Prof. S.K. Bagga, Director, Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Prof. B.L. Kaul, Registrar, Dronacharya Group of Institutions and Prof. Ashwani Kumar, Academic Administrator, Dronacharya Group of Institutions, HOD’s of various Department and faculties, students and staff members.

NSS Wing of Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida in association with Yakult Danone India Pvt. Ltd. organized a seminar on “Importance of the Intestinal Micro Flora in Health and Disease” and “Role of Probiotics in Maintaining Good Health” on 23rd February 2017 at college campus. The objective of the session was to create awareness amongst student regarding importance of Micro Flora for digestion. The seminar was coordinated by students Mr. Madhwesh Upadhyay and Ms. Gurleen Kaur from CSE first year.

Global Exhibition on Services (GES) 2017

"17th - 20th April 2017 | 3rd Edition of Global Exhibition

Department of Commerce, Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India, Services Export Promotion Council (SEPC), and Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) organized the 3rd Edition of Global Exhibition On Services (GES) 2017 during 17th - 20th April 2017 at India Expo Centre; Mart, Greater Noida. The focus of GES was on sectors like IT and Telecom, Tourism; Hospitality, Education, Healthcare, Logistics, Environmental Services etc. GES 2017 provided an ideal platform for showcasing services to Indian and global counterparts.
