"Innovision-2019" Project & Poster Exhibition

Project & Poster exhibition "Innovision-2019" was organized at DGI, Greater Noida on 16th November 2019. Project competition was open for students of B.Tech III, V and VII Semester and Poster competition for students of B.Tech I Semester and MBA.
The event was held for students to exhibit their knowledge and effort towards innovation and creativity. The theme of the competition, "Innovation and Creativity" has guided the students to develop systems which are required but not available in the market. Focus was also given towards disruptive innovations by students. The ultimate aim is to have thought and action both of which are essential ingredients for technological development. Emphasis was given on interdisciplinary projects leading to technology diffusion.
Following dignitaries graced the occasion as Guests of Honor and Judges.

- Gaurav Arora – Program Manager, Net Profits Cyber Works, Ltd.
- Lalit Chauhan – Sr. Software Engineer, Net Profits Cyber Works, Ltd.
Prof. (Dr.) Ashish Soti, Director-DGI, welcomed the guests and addressed the students on doing creative and innovative projects. He emphasized that the students have gainfully translated their theoretical knowledge into practical aspects through the medium of this event. Engineers have to be application oriented and for this workmanship and hands on job is of utmost importance. Stress was laid on original thinking for simple systems to be developed for the benefit of social cause and community welfare.
Prof. TPN Singh, Advisor (R&D) thanked the dignitaries for their presence. Students were advised to prepare themselves for willingness to take risks and have the ability to tolerate ambiguities and uncertainties in their journey towards entrepreneurship. Opportunity recognition was stressed for being successful. He rendered a brief description of the projects and posters on display and exhorted the students to excel in the areas of innovation and creativity.
The projects were divided into two groups namely hardware & software. Both the groups were evaluated for prizes on equal measure.
The evaluation committee consisted of two teams headed by Mr. Govind Sharma for hardware projects and Mr. Gaurav Arora for Software projects. A total of 28 projects and 10 posters were on display by the departments.
The projects and posters were evaluated by the concerned teams in terms of innovativeness, content, societal value, commercial aspect and future scope. Mr. Probeer Sahw, HOD ECE announced the results.
All awardees received prize money, certificates and medals from the dignitaries. Prof. TPN Singh rendered the vote of thanks.
