Educational Excursion to:International Book Fair, Bharat Mandapam

MBA Department of Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida organized an educational excursion to the International Book Fair, Bharat Mandapam on 17th January 2026 for MBA 1st Year students. The visit was conducted under the guidance of Ms. Shiwani Sharma (HOD, MBA), with the objective of providing students with academic exposure beyond the classroom and encouraging the habit of reading for professional and personal development. Students were accompanied by Ms Shiwani Sharma (HOD, MBA) and Ms. Anu Jain (Assistant Professor).
The visit was conducted to familiarize students with recent publications in management and allied fields, promote self-learning and reading habits, understand current trends in publishing and marketing, and provide exposure to reputed national and international publishers. The excursion was planned to enhance students’ awareness of knowledge resources relevant to their academic curriculum and future careers.
During the visit, students actively explored various stalls and interacted with publishers and vendors to gain insights into different academic and professional resources. Many students purchased books related to their specialization areas such as marketing strategies, financial analysis, organizational behavior, entrepreneurship, and business analytics. The visit also helped students understand how knowledge is packaged, marketed, and sold, which is directly relevant to management education.
Students found the excursion informative and inspiring. They appreciated the availability of a diverse collection of academic and non-academic books at reasonable prices. The intellectually stimulating environment encouraged curiosity, learning, and interaction with professionals and fellow readers, thereby enhancing students’ awareness of current global business trends and thought leadership.
This educational excursion to the International Book Fair proved to be a valuable learning experience for MBA students of DGI, Greater Noida. The visit successfully complemented classroom learning by providing practical exposure to publishing trends and knowledge resources. Such educational activities play an important role in broadening students’ perspectives and fostering lifelong learning habits.
