Hands-on session on “Data Analytics Using Tableau”

Department of CSE-AIML, Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida, in association with the Ainnov8 Club, organised a hands-on session on “Data Analytics Using Tableau” on 26 October 2026 to familiarise third-year B.Tech students with modern data visualisation techniques and their applications in professional environments. The programme focused on helping students understand how raw data can be transformed into meaningful information to support analysis, interpretation, and informed decision-making.
The session featured Mr. Pradip Kr. Shukla, Founder and Director, and Mr. Priyanshu Singh, Salesforce Consultant, from Cloud Centric Infotech, a Salesforce Partner. The resource persons shared industry perspectives on the increasing importance of data analytics across business and technology sectors. They explained how organisations use visualisation tools to identify trends, evaluate performance, interpret complex datasets, and communicate findings effectively. Their insights helped students appreciate the relevance of analytical skills in today's data-driven professional landscape.
The technical discussion introduced students to Tableau, a widely used platform for data analysis and visualisation. Participants explored the role of charts, graphs, and dashboards in presenting information in a clear and organised manner. The session highlighted how different visualisation techniques can be selected according to the nature of the data and the purpose of the analysis. Emphasis was also placed on recognising patterns, comparing data points, and presenting analytical findings in a format that supports better understanding.
Practical orientation formed an important part of the session, with discussions focusing on the use of dashboards and visual reports to communicate insights. Coordinated by Ms. Ankita Sharma, Assistant Professor, Department of CSE-AIML, the session offered students an opportunity to connect their academic knowledge with industry practices and explore emerging career pathways in data analytics.
