Mechanical Engineering Department of Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida, organized an Industrial Visit to WIKA Instruments India Pvt. Ltd., Meerut Road Industrial Area, Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, on 1st October 2026. A total of 26 students participated in the visit under the guidance of Dr.SangeetaMangesh, (Director); Dr.Shailesh Kumar Singh, (HOD, ME); Dr. Pawan Sharma, (HOD, APS) Mr. Ankur Sachdeva, (Assistant Professor, ME); and Mr. Vishnu Kuntal, (Assistant Professor, ME). The visit was organized to provide students with first-hand exposure to a professional industrial environment and familiarize them with real-world engineering practices.
WIKA Instruments India Pvt. Ltd. is engaged in the field of industrial measurement and instrumentation, with a strong emphasis on precision, reliability, quality, and process control. During the visit, students were taken through different sections of the facility and briefed about the manufacturing workflow. They gained an understanding of various activities related to manufacturing, assembly, joining, inspection, testing, and quality control, along with the systematic procedures followed during industrial production.
Practical exposure to the plant operations enabled students to relate their academic knowledge with actual industrial applications. They observed the importance of precision, accuracy, quality assurance, process discipline, workplace safety, and efficient workflow in manufacturing. Interaction with industry professionals further enriched their understanding of industrial responsibilities, teamwork, technical skills, professional conduct, and the importance of continuous learning.
