International Yoga Week 2026

NSS Units of Dronacharya Group of Institutions (DGI), Greater Noida, under the supervision of Dr. Mamta Bhardwaj, NSS Coordinator, successfully organized International Yoga Week 2026 from 14 June to 21 June 2026 as part of the nationwide celebrations promoting yoga under the initiative of the Government of India. The week-long programme aimed to create awareness about the importance of yoga in enhancing physical fitness, mental well-being, and promoting a healthy lifestyle among students, faculty members, and staff.
Throughout the week, a series of yoga sessions, demonstrations, and awareness activities were conducted across the campus. Students from various B.Tech programmes enthusiastically participated and practiced different yoga asanas, pranayama, and meditation techniques under expert guidance, highlighting the importance of incorporating yoga into daily life.
The event witnessed the active participation of distinguished academicians and institutional leaders, including Prof. Sanghmitra V. Arora, Deputy Director and HoD (EEE/ECE/ECS); Dr. Mukesh Bhardwaj, HoD (AIML); Prof. Hridesh Gupta, HoD (CSIT & IT); Prof. hiwani Sharma, HoD (MBA); faculty members, non-teaching staff, and NSS volunteers, whose presence encouraged and motivated the participants throughout the programme.
The programme was further graced by the esteemed presence of Director, Dr. Sangeeta Mangesh, who encouraged everyone to adopt yoga as a regular practice for achieving a balanced, healthy, and stress-free life. She emphasized that yoga is not merely a physical exercise but a holistic approach towards overall well-being and inner harmony.
The celebration concluded on a positive note with enthusiastic participation and reaffirmed DGI's commitment to promoting health, wellness, discipline, and holistic development among its students and staff members.
