Expert talk on “Project Funding Schemes”

Research & Development Cell (RDC), Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida, organized an expert talk on “Project Funding Schemes for Faculty Members of Technical Institutions” on 5th June 2026 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM. The session featured Dr. Anuj Kumar Sharma, Director, Kalam Centre for Innovation and Incubation of Startup, AKTU Foundation, Lucknow, as the expert speaker, with the objective of enhancing faculty awareness regarding research funding opportunities and project proposal development.
The event witnessed the participation of 40 faculty members, who actively engaged in discussions on research funding mechanisms and strategies for securing grants from various government agencies. Dr. Sharma shared valuable insights from his extensive academic, research, and administrative experience. He emphasized the importance of promoting innovation, strengthening industry-academia collaborations, and transforming research ideas into commercially viable technologies.
During the session, he elaborated on funding opportunities offered by organizations such as Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB), All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), Department of Science & Technology (DST), Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR), and state initiatives like StartinUP. He explained the eligibility criteria, proposal submission process, and the factors that contribute to successful grant acquisition.
He also discussed the essential components of a strong research proposal, including problem identification, defining objectives, Technological Readiness Level (TRL), budget preparation, resource planning, and expected outcomes. He encouraged faculty members to undertake interdisciplinary research and address real-world challenges through funded projects.
The session concluded with an interactive question-and-answer segment, where participants sought guidance on proposal writing, research funding avenues, and commercialization pathways. The expert talk proved to be highly informative and motivating, encouraging faculty members to actively pursue research excellence and external funding opportunities.
