Global Exhibition on Services (GES) 2016

The Government of India, Ministry of Commerce and Industry in association with Services Export Promotion Council (SEPC) and Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) organized the second edition of the Global Exhibition on Services from 21st to 23rd April 2016 at India Expo Centre & Mart, Greater Noida.
The objective of the exhibition was to provide a platform to all the participants, delegates, business visitors and other key decision maker from the services industry and other related industry to interact with, and explore new business avenues. The Second GES spotlighted on the services sector of the world economy and served as a forward - looking impulse for the services industry.
GES 2016 was inaugurated by Hon'ble President, Shri Pranab Mukherjee. Hon'ble Governor, Uttar Pradesh, Shri Ram Naik, Commerce & Industry Minister, Mrs. Nirmala Sitharaman, Union Telecom Minister, Shri Ravi Shankar Prasad,Ministry of State of Culture & tourism, Dr. Mahesh Sharma, President, CII, Dr. Naushad Forbes, Director General, CII, Mr. Chandrajit Banerjee, Commerce Secretary, Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India, Smt. Rita Teaotia also graced the event.
Over 2, 00,000 visitors from India and abroad visited GES 2016 and had the opportunity of interacting with around 350 exhibitors from 60 countries. More than 2,000 entrepreneurs, industrialist, educational consultants, HR companies and media partners attended the seminars. A good number of the Universities and Academic Institutions, such as AKG, Galgotias, IEC, NIET and DGI participated and exhibited their projects. Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida exhibited the following projects fabricated and designed by students:
1. Smart and Portable Parking System
2. Efficient Mechanical Rickshaw
3. Modified Double Cylinder Hand pump
A large number of visitors from different countries visited DGI Pavilion and appreciated the innovative concept of the projects.
Tarsier Pvt. Ltd. (New York), Gravity Gain Consulting Pvt. Ltd. (Gurgaon) and Excel Design Technologies Pvt. Ltd. (Gurgaon) showed keen interest in the projects displayed by DGI Students.
Students had a good exposure at the exhibition.
