Smart India Hackathon (SIH) 2025 Grand Finale
8th – 9th December 2025
Students of Dronacharya Group of Institutions (DGI) achieved a moment of pride by participating in the Smart India Hackathon (SIH) 2025 – Software Edition Grand Finale, held on 8th –9thDecember 2025 at the Indian Institute of Technology (ISM), Dhanbad, Jharkhand, one of India’s most prestigious technical institutions and the designated Nodal Centre for the event.
Representing the institution at the national level, Team “KrishiDrishti” showcased innovation, technical expertise, and problem-solving excellence while competing alongside top student teams from premier institutions across the country. The team was led by UtkarshTripathi and comprised Kavya, TanishkaChauhan, VaibhavBaranwal, Samyak Jain, and AnshYadav, under the able mentorship of Prof. Sheela Singh.
Organized by the Ministry of Education, Government of India, in association with AICTE, Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC), and the Ministry of Education’s Innovation Cell, Smart India Hackathon is India’s flagship innovation initiative that challenges students to develop technology-driven solutions for real-world problem statements. Team KrishiDrishti successfully advanced to the Grand Finale 2025, reflecting their dedication, collaborative spirit, and strong technical foundation.
The two-day national-level competition involved intensive problem analysis, software development, live demonstrations, and solution validation, guided by domain experts and industry professionals. Teams were rigorously evaluated by an eminent jury panel comprising academicians, researchers, and industry leaders, providing participants with valuable exposure to national innovation benchmarks, industry expectations, and high-pressure collaborative environments.
This participation significantly enhanced the students’ technical proficiency, teamwork,leadership, adaptability, and communication skills, while offering first-hand experience in solving large-scale, real-world challenges. Interaction with peers from IITs and other leading institutions further broadened their professional outlook and learning experience.>
