Expert Session on “The Future of Cybersecurity and Blockchain” on
1st December 2025. The session aimed to provide students with clear insights into cybersecurity, blockchain, quantum computing, and emerging digital technologies. The event began with a warm welcome by the
Dr. Sangeeta Mangesh Karyakarte (Director) and Mr. Hridesh Gupta (HOD, CSIT), setting an engaging academic atmosphere.
DGI had the privilege of hosting a distinguished team from Datopic Technologies, including Mr. Sumit Chauhan (CEO), Mr. Saurav Jain (CTO), Mr. Naveen Coomar (CSO), Ms. Shivani Senapati and Mr. Shivam Sharma. The dignitaries were felicitated on stage, reflecting the strengthening bond between industry and academia.
The session’s highlight was the expert talk by Mr. Sumit Chauhan, who discussed the evolving landscape of cybersecurity and blockchain and emphasized the need for strong security frameworks and indigenous technological innovation. He also explained the growing impact of quantum computing on cryptography. Mr. Saurav Jain added valuable insights on the rising role of AI in cybersecurity, showcasing how AI-driven models are transforming threat detection and digital security. The experts further explained blockchain applications, decentralized systems, and real-world cyberattack methodologies, making complex topics easy for students to grasp.
An inspiring address by Mr. Naveen Coomar motivated students to pursue innovation, creativity, and continuous learning in advanced technology domains. During the interactive Q&A session, students received guidance on cybersecurity careers, blockchain development, and opportunities at Datopic.
A major milestone of the event was the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Dr. Hirdesh Sharma and Mr. Saurav Jain. The MoU focuses on enhancing academic–industry collaboration through internships, training programs, research initiatives, workshops, and certification courses, marking a significant step toward expanding technical excellence at DGI.
The event concluded with closing remarks by Prof. Shekhar Tyagi, who appreciated the Datopic team for their valuable contributions and encouraged students to apply the knowledge gained. The session proved to be insightful and impactful, strengthening the connection between academic learning and industry expectations.
