Aalekh 2K26 – “The Power of Ink”

Dr. Ritu Soryan, Professor (APS) at Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida, was invited by the Learning Resource Centre to conduct a special interactive academic sessionin Aalekh 2K26 – “The Power of Ink”, a prestigious literary and intellectual festival organized by the Learning Resource Centre (LRC) and the Cerebrum Club of Bennett University, The Times Group, on 29thand 30thJanuary 2026. The two-day festival served as a vibrant platform celebrating literature, leadership, social consciousness, and intellectual discourse, bringing together eminent thinkers, authors, administrators, social reformers, and students.
The inaugural session commenced with a Prelude on the Legacy of Aalekh, followed by a formal introduction by the Cerebrum Club. The ceremonial lamp lighting was graced by senior university leadership, including the Pro Chancellor, Vice Chancellor, COO, Dean of SOLA, Director–Library, and Aalekh leadership. The festival was formally inaugurated by the Chief Guest, Shri Kailash Satyarthi, Nobel Peace Prize Laureate and globally renowned human rights activist. His inspiring address emphasized compassion, justice, ethical leadership, and the vital role of youth in shaping a humane and sustainable society. The Guest of Honour, Shri Ashok Kumar, IPS (Retd.), former DGP of Uttarakhand, also shared valuable insights on leadership, governance and values, enriching the thematic depth of the event.
Post-lunch academic sessions witnessed enthusiastic student participation. Session 1, titled “From Page to Pulse: Literature as a Mirror of the Self”, featured Award-winning Author Ms. Githa Hariharan, Bestselling Author Ms. Stuti Changle, and Dr. Ritu Soryan. Dr. Soryan’s interaction with Liberal Arts students was marked by vibrant discussions, critical questioning, and thoughtful responses, reflecting students’ intellectual maturity and deep engagement.Her session fostered reflective thinking and meaningful dialogue, creating a highly engaging learning experience for the participants.
Over the two days, 14 parallel sessions were conducted seamlessly, supported by excellent student leadership and coordination. Student engagement activities such as debates, poetry competitions, and interactive events added creativity and enthusiasm to the festival.
Aalekh 2K26 emerged as a transformative academic and cultural platform, nurturing intellectual curiosity, ethical reflection, and expressive confidence among students. The festival concluded successfully with positive feedback from participants and speakers. Dr. Ritu Soryan’s participation proved to be a valuable academic experience, offering insights that can be meaningfully integrated into teaching and mentoring practices at Dronacharya Group of Institutions. Overall, the programme reinforced the belief that ideas, expression, and compassion together can contribute to individual growth and societal transformation.
