Uttar Pradesh Foundation Day

NSS Units of Dronacharya Group of Institutions (DGI) commemorated Uttar Pradesh Foundation Day on 24th January 2026 by organizing a Poster Making and Slogan Writing Competition on the campus. The celebration aimed to highlight the theme “Rich Heritage of Uttar Pradesh”, with the objective of spreading awareness among students about the state’s glorious history, cultural diversity, traditions, and values.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from many B.Tech students, who showcased their creativity through visually appealing posters and thought-provoking slogans. The entries beautifully portrayed the cultural legacy of Uttar Pradesh, including its historical monuments, folk traditions, festivals, art forms, and social values. The competition provided a meaningful platform for students to express their pride in the state’s rich heritage.
The evaluation of entries was carried out by the judging panel with utmost sincerity and impartiality. The participants were assessed on the basis of originality, relevance to the theme, creativity, and overall presentation. After careful scrutiny, the winners were finalized as per the collective decision of the judges.
The programme was further enriched by the inspiring address of Director, Dr. Sangeeta Mangesh, who spoke about the historical significance, cultural richness, and diverse traditions of Uttar Pradesh. Her words motivated students to appreciate their roots and take pride in the heritage of the state while contributing positively to its future.
Following the evaluation, the winners of both competitions were announced and applauded for their commendable efforts. In the Slogan Writing Competition, the First Position was secured by Rehan Khan (1st Year, CSE), followed by Ridhi Kakkar (1st Year, CSE, Roll No. 20137) in the Second Position, and Shivam (1st Year, CSE-AIML, Roll No. 20536) in the Third Position. In the Poster Making Competition, the First Position was awarded to Rohit Kumar Singh (2nd Year, ME, Roll No. 19784), the Second Position to Muskan Rani (1st Year, AIML, Roll No. 20524), and the Third Position to Aditya Raj (1st Year, CSE, Roll No. 20015).
The celebration concluded with the distribution of refreshments, marking a cheerful and successful end to the event. The programme witnessed active participation and support from faculty members, NSS volunteers, and students, making the UP-Foundation Day 2026 celebration informative, engaging, and memorable for the entire DGI community.
