Smart India Hackathon - 2024
11th - 12th December 2024
The Smart India Hackathon (SIH) 2024, held from 11th - 15th December 2024 marked the 7th edition of this nationwide initiative aimed at fostering innovation and problem-solving among students. Organized by the Ministry of Education's Innovation Cell, SIH 2024 featured both Software and Hardware editions, engaging participants in developing solutions to real-world challenges. A total of 254 problem statements were presented from 40 Central Ministries 6 State Governments, and 6 Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) including 186 software-related and 68 hardware-related challenges.
Three Teams (Legal Eagles, Nomorespills, Noobies) of Dronacharya Group of Institutions were selected for the Grand Finale of SIH 2024.

Team Legal Eagles with team members Maitri Gupta (Leader), Anish Kumar Singh, Krish Rawat, Anand Nath Thakur, Sarthak Singhal, Garvit and team mentors Prof. Nandini Tomar and Dr. Arpana Mishra were selected among finalists.

Problem Statement Title: Let’s learn the constitution in a simpler – Citizen Perspective
Theme: Smart Education
Legal Eagles, participated in the Smart India Hackathon (SIH)-2024 Grand Finale held at Vishveshraiya Technological University, Belagavi, Karnataka, with a mission to develop a user-friendly, engaging, and informative platform aimed at educating Indian citizens, including working professionals, students, and homemakers, about their constitutional rights. The platform, designed under the theme of Smart Education, focused on simplifying complex legal language and making it accessible to a broader audience, empowering them with knowledge of their rights and responsibilities as citizens.

Team Noobies with team members Aditya Pal ((IT – IVth Yr 16202) Team Leader), Saptarsi Pal, Raj,Shruti Mishra,Ajay Kumar and Kartikey Prasad and team mentors Dr. Kaustubh Kumar Shukla and Dr. Aadarsh Malviya were selected among finalists.

Theme- HealthTech
Noobies, participated in the Smart India Hackathon (SIH)-2024 Grand Finale held at KITs College of Engineering- Kolhapur, Maharashtra. Team was working on the Problem Statement Revolutionizing Gastrointestinal Cancer Detection: Advanced Segmentation Using the Novel U-MaskNet Model. The team of working on the problem statement and covers several modules in identification of Cancer and in support Team Noobies was one among the final runner up in the finalist panel.

Problem Statement Title-Real-Time Disaster Information Aggregation Software
Theme-Disaster Management
Nomorespills, participated in the Smart India Hackathon (SIH)-2024 Grand Finale held at IIT Bhubaneswar. The solution by team aimed to streamline the disaster response process by leveraging advanced algorithms to gather, categorize, and present data on a user-friendly dashboard. Key features of project include Automated Data Aggregation, Categorization and Filtering, Interactive Dashboard. The solution was designed to enhance the effectiveness of disaster response operations by significantly reducing the time and resources required to process data, ultimately saving lives.
Participating in the finale was an enriching experience, providing students with invaluable insights and hands-on learning opportunities. The competition not only enhanced their problem-solving skills but also allowed them to receive expert guidance, helping them refine and improve their projects. It was a transformative experience that fostered innovation, teamwork, and a deeper understanding of real-world challenges.
