The session was conducted by Ms. Kawalpreet Sawhney, Assistant Professor, with the objective of enhancing faculty members’ understanding of Emotional Intelligence (EQ) and its application in academic and professional settings.

An interactive and experiential learning approach was adopted throughout the session. Faculty-relevant situations were discussed to help participants connect EQ concepts with real-life academic challenges such as student engagement, workload management, team coordination, and leadership roles.
Participants reflected on their emotional responses in professional contexts and identified practical strategies to manage themselves effectively, build healthier workplace relationships, and balance responsibilities. The session also emphasised the role of emotional intelligence in fostering a positive institutional culture and enhancing personal well-being.
