Celebration of Engineers' Day
15th September 2021
On the occasion of Engineers' Day, CSI Student Chapter and Institution's Innovation Council (MoE), Dronacharya Group of Institutions organized “DronaTronix-2021” to celebrate the life of Bharat Ratna, Sir Mokshagundam Vishweshvaraya on 15th September 2021. The event was attended by students and faculty members of all the departments.
The event began with the welcome speech of S.K.Srivastava (Registrar, DGI). He said that the budding engineers must learn from the life of Sir Mokshagundam Vishweshvaraya and accordingly contribute to the society.
He told students, the contribution of Sir M Vishveshvaraya for his brilliant contribution in development of India was remembered. An engineer has many different roles in ever changing society. He described few of the main roles of an engineer such as creating new technology, product development, and social responsibilities. An engineer has many different social responsibilities in our changing world.
Three competitions were organized for the students
The Neophyte Perspective - Debate Competition
The Neophyte Perspective - Debate Competition started in full swing and the motion was "Automation: Boon or Bane". A total of 10 participants showed their debating mettle. 5 participants were debating in favour of the motion and 5 participants were debating against the motion. The debate was heated, lively and on everyone’s lip.
The Humble Encephalon: Quiz Competition
The Humble Encephalon - Quiz Competition witnessed participation from 4 teams comprising of 4 members each. The Quiz Competition had five rounds Techwiz, Enigma, Minute to Win It, Pictionary and Brain Age. There were many nail-biting moments in the competition.
The Rhymester of Techville - Technical Poem Recitation
The Rhymester of Techville - Technical Poem Recitation witnessed participation from 5 enthusiastic students, who enthralled the audience with their awesome creativity.
All the winners were felicitated with medals and certificates by S. K. Srivastava.
