“Innovision-2019”

Project & Poster Exhibition “Innovision-2019” was organized at Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida on April 6, 2019 wherein students from all the courses and branches participated. Project Competition was open for students of B.Tech IV, VI and VIII Sem and Poster Competition for students of B.Tech II Sem and MBA.

The event was organized for students to showcase their efforts and prowess towards the latest technological developments. The theme of the competition, “Innovation and Creativity” guided the students to develop systems which are required but not available in the market. Emphasis was also given towards disruptive innovations by students. The ultimate aim was to have thought and action both of which are essential ingredients for technological development. Emphasis was given on interdisciplinary projects leading to technology diffusion. Stress was also laid on original thinking for simple systems to be developed for the benefit of social cause and community welfare.

Following dignitaries graced the occasion as Guests of Honor and Judges.

Dr. Ashish Soti, Hon’ble Director, welcomed the guests and addressed the students on undertaking creative and innovative projects. He advocated that Engineers have to be application oriented and for this workmanship and hands on job is of utmost importance.

Prof. TPN Singh, Advisor (R&D) thanked the dignitaries for their presence. He advised the students to prepare themselves for willingness to take risks and have the ability to tolerate ambiguities and uncertainties in their journey towards entrepreneurship. Opportunity recognition was stressed for being successful. He rendered a brief description of the projects and posters on display and exhorted the students to excel in the areas of innovation and creativity.

The evaluation committee consisted of four teams headed by Dr. R. Radhakrishnan, Mr. S. C. Gandhi, Prof. TPN Singh & Dr. Rishi Kant. A total of 36 projects and 08 posters were on display by the departments.
                               
The projects and posters were evaluated by the concerned teams in terms of innovativeness, content, societal value, commercial aspect and future scope. Eight projects were shortlisted out of which three were selected for final awards along with three posters.
