Coordinators’ Workshop on Scilab

A one day Coordinators’ Workshop on Scilab was conducted by Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay on 16th April 2019 at Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida (Remote Centre ID : 1316) and 33 other Remote Centers through A-View. The workshop meant for faculties from technical institutes and schools was organized under the aegis of 'Pandit Madan Mohan Malaviya National Mission on Teachers and Teaching' (PMMMNMTT), funded by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India. Participants from 43 new Remote Centers also attended the workshop at various existing remote centers.
Two faculty members Ms. Neha Kamboj and Mr. Raju Kumar Maurya from other colleges attended the workshop at Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida on behalf of their newly formed remote centers. The workshop at DGI was locally coordinated by Mr. Probeer Sahw, HOD-ECE & EEE, DGI – Greater Noida.
Inaugurating the workshop, Prof. Kannan Moudgalya, PI-PMMMNMTT and Spoken Tutorial Project, IIT Bombay briefed the participants about Scilab, which is open source numerical computational software used for Digital Signal Processing, Control Engineering, Statistical Analysis, Image Processing etc.
Prof. Moudgalya later explained the roles and responsibilities of the RC Coordinators for the Main Workshop on Scilab which is to be held on 4th May 2019.
After the inaugural session, participants watched the tutorial videos on Scilab. They also gained a hands-on experience on Scilab through side-by-side learning.
The workshop ended with a doubt clearing session with Prof. Moudgalya.
