Lohri Celebration

Dronacharya Group of Institutions celebrated the festival of Lohri with great warmth and enthusiasm on 13th January 2026. The event was coordinated by Ms. Kawalpreet Sawhney (Assistant Professor, APS), Dr. Lavi Deol (Assistant Professor, APS), Ms. Kajol Kathuria (Assistant Professor). It provided refreshing break from routine academic schedules and created a vibrant atmosphere of joy, togetherness, and cultural connection within the campus.
The celebration began with the traditional lighting of the bonfire, which symbolises positivity, prosperity, and the end of the winter season. Faculty members gathered around the fire, participating in age-old customs by offering rewri, popcorn, and peanuts, reflecting gratitude and welcoming new beginnings. The ambience was further enriched with festive interactions, cheerful conversations, and a shared sense of celebration.
The event not only strengthened interpersonal bonds among faculty members but also reinforced the importance of celebrating cultural traditions within the institutional environment.
