Orientation workshop under "Unnat Bharat Abhiyan"

Dr.Mamta Bhardwaj (Associate Professor- APS Department) of Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida attended the orientation workshop organized for the participating Institutions under the Unnat Bharat Abhiyan at Research & Innovation Park, IIT Delhi. Unnat Bharat Abhiyan is a central sector scheme of the Ministry of Education, and IIT Delhi is coordinating it on the national level.
The theme of the workshop was basic skills for village development with students and faculties.
The workshop was inaugurated by Prof. Rangan Banerjee, Director, IIT Delhi, in the presence of Sh. Varun Vidyarthi, Founder and CEO, Manavodaya, Lucknow; Prof. V K Vijay, National Coordinator, Unnat Bharat Abhiyan; and Dr. Gajanan Dange, President, Yojak, and other key stakeholders of the scheme.
Prof. V. K Vijay, National Coordinator, UBA gave an overview of the UBA program, its objective, mission, vision, historical evolution, activities, etc.
Afterwards, Sh. Varun Vidyarthi, CEO, Manvodaya, Lucknow in his keynote speech gave an overview of the challenges in selecting the village and the project. He also illustrated the issues with the help of his own experience and case studies.
The IT team responsible for the web portal of UBA gave a presentation on various aspects of the portal such as form filling and project submission.
In the end, the faculties of a few colleges and universities, discussed their successfully completed projects under the UBA.
The workshop ended with a brief Q-A session.
