Agra is a city in northern India’s Uttar Pradesh state. Agra has three UNESCO World Heritage sites, the Taj Mahal, the Agra Fort in the city and Fatehpur Sikri nearby.
There are also many other buildings and tombs from Agra's days of glory as the capital of the Mughal Empire. Many beautiful and worth seeing historical places in Agra were seen by the students. Students enjoyed visiting Taj Mahal of Agra which is the most beautiful of all. The Taj Mahal was built about three hundred and fifty years ago by the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his beloved queen, Mumtaz. It is an ivory-white marble mausoleum on the south bank of the Yamuna River in the Indian city of Agra. It was commissioned in 1632 by the Mughal emperor, Shah Jahan, to house the tomb of his favourite wife, Mumtaz Mahal. Multicolored pieces of glass art and couplets were worth seeing. The four minarets stood as watch men at each of the main building.
After the visit of Taj Mahal all members had a lunch at Hotel Dazzle, Shahabad Road, Agra.
Altogether it was a very refreshing trip for the students and staff members.
