World Environment Day

Institution's Innovation Council (IIC), Ministry of Education (MoE), Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida celebrated “World Environment Day” on 5th June, 2022. The honourable speaker of the session was Shri Vijaypal Baghel JEE (The Green Man of India).
The main objective of celebrating world environment day every year is to get people involved with the environment.
Prof. (Dr.) K.K Saini (Director of DGI, Greater Noida) welcomed Shri Vijaypal Baghel and initiated the celebration by giving the inaugural speech.
Next, Shri Vijaypal Baghel stated in his speech, World Environment Day is the opportunity for everyone to realize the responsibility to care for the Earth and to become agents of change. While concluding his speech he said that change can happen only if it is affected at the community level.
DGI celebrated World Environment Day with great pomp and fervour in support to the environment with planting of saplings, an initiative taken by the Director along with the students in the University premises. In lieu of this, students were inspired and motivated to plant more trees in and around their own surroundings contributing to a healthier and cleaner society which in turn will make a greener Earth.
