Out of the Box Thinking For Problem Solving

Institutions Innovation Council (IIC), Ministry of Education (MoE) has organized an online session in collaboration with IIT Madras on 28th June 2022. The students and faculty of Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida attended the session online.
The session started with the motivating lines of Dr. Dipen Sahu (Director at MoE’s Innovation Cell). He explained the need of Innovation through a very basic example. He said, when anyone want to progress, challenges comes in; when there are challenges that means there is a problem and when there is a problem than definitely there is a solution because nature has already created certain solutions in advance; either the solution is there in nature or we have to invent something to address the solution.
He then welcomed Prof. V. Kamakoti, (Director, IIT Madras) to share valuable knowledge for education fraternity, mathematicians, and entrepreneurs. Prof. V. Kamakoti explained, the various tools, theories and approaches to be adopted in life to find the solution and lead to the path of Innovation. He gave the examples of Apple-Knife-Stone theory, number patterns and many mathematical problems to make the audience understand the importance of innovation and logical thinking. He also told about the topic OOBT for the upcoming and new student aspirants.
Overall the session was informative and useful and it was a great opportunity for everyone to learn about the need of Innovation. DGI students closely understood the importance of Mathematics in Innovation.
