Plantation Drive

NSS Unit of Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida organized a ‘plantation drive’ within and around the college campus. The initiative aimed at promoting environmental awareness and contributing to a greener and healthier ecosystem.
The event saw enthusiastic participation from over 100 students, faculty members, and staff. The day commenced with a brief orientation session conducted by Dr. Arpita Gupta (Director, DGI), who emphasized the significance of tree plantation and its impact on combating climate change.
A variety of saplings, including Neem, Peepal, and Gulmohar, were carefully selected for this drive due to their environmental benefits and adaptability to the local climate. The participants meticulously planted and watered the saplings.
The Chief guest Mr. Lavesh Kumar Sisodia (District Backward Class Welfare Officer, Gautam Buddha Nagar) graced the occasion and appreciated the NSS Unit’s efforts in fostering a sense of environmental responsibility among students. On this occasion Dr. S K Srivastav (Registrar, DGI) Prof. Sanghmitra V Arora (HOD ECE/ECZ/EEE), Mr. Virender (Deputy Registrar, DGI) also planted saplings with the students.
The drive not only contributed to the beautification of the college premises but also instilled a sense of pride and accomplishment among the participants. The NSS volunteers pledged to nurture the saplings and monitor their growth, ensuring the success of the plantation drive.
