Expert Talk on "Emerging Trends & Opportunities"

CSI Student Chapter, Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida organized an expert talk on “Emerging Trends & Opportunities” on 30th August 2024. Ms. Shiny Rajan, (Head of Talent Operations at Sopra Steria India Limited) was invited as a guest speaker for the session. Students of CSE, CSIT, IT, CSE(AIML) departments attended the lecture.
The lectures was organized with an objective of equipping students with knowledge about the latest advancement and to bridge the gap between academic learning and industry requirements, enabling students to align their skill sets with current and future technological demands.
Dr. Arpita Gupta (Director DGI) welcomed Ms. Shiny and presented her with a sapling, symbolizing growth and sustainability. She provided a brief yet comprehensive introduction of Ms. Shiny highlighting her notable achievements, expertise, and contributions to the field of computer science. After the introduction, Dr. Arpita graciously offered the dais to Ms. Shiny to begin her session.
Ms. Shiny started the session by emphasizing the growing significance of data-driven solutions and the role of automation in transforming industries worldwide. She not only highlighted emerging technologies but also shed light on the skills and competencies required to excel in a competitive job market. She also explained importance of problem-solving, critical thinking in tackling real-world challenges. She encouraged students to embrace lifelong learning and actively participate in research, internships and certification programs to enhance their expertise.
The event concluded with an interactive Q&A session, where students engaged enthusiastically, seeking guidance on career paths and technological trends.
