78th Independence Day Celebration

NSS Units, Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida celebrated “78th Independence Day” with immense patriotism and enthusiasm on 15th August, 2024. The day was marked by various activities, including a flag-hoisting ceremony by Dr. Arpita Gupta (Director, DGI), recitation of poems, and a plantation drive. The event aimed to foster a sense of national pride and environmental responsibility among students and staff.
The ceremony was attended by faculty members, staff, and students, all dressed in patriotic colors. As the flag unfurled, the National Anthem was sung, filling the atmosphere with patriotic fervor and reminding everyone of the sacrifices made by great freedom fighters.
Prof Vishnu Kuntal presented poem reflecting the spirit of Independence, unity, and peace. The poem highlighted the struggles of the past and the aspirations for the future.
To emphasize the importance of a sustainable environment, DGI organized a plantation drive in the campus. The Director, along with faculty members and students, planted saplings in designated areas. The initiative was a reminder of responsibility towards preserving nature and combating climate change. The plantation drive was well-received, and participants pledged to take care of the saplings, ensuring their growth and survival.
