Department of Management Studies, Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida organized an industrial visit to “Cosy Toys Pvt Ltd, Noida” on 12th September 2024. Dr. Sahab Singh (MBA Department) along with MBA students went for the visit.
The visit aimed to bridge the gap between the theoretical knowledge and real world application in the consumer goods industry.
Cosy Toys Factory is the manufacturers, exporters, and distributors of exclusive soft toys in the NCR area. Company always try to maintain our quality standards to meet the little one’s expectations. It is a B2B company, providing materials wholesale to retailers who, in turn, sell the toys to customers. The Unique Selling Proposition (USP) of Cosy Toys is their exclusivity and dedication to customer satisfaction.
Company Officials welcomed Dronacharyans and gave a brief introduction to the organization, its history, and its operations.
After the presentation student observed the production process in action, including the stages of design, assembly, and quality control. The company’s emphasis on precision, creativity, and customer satisfaction was evident throughout the tour.
Company officials told students in addition to personalized products, they also deal in pet toys and animal plushies. Their basic idea is to first understand customer needs and then design the product accordingly. The toy's idea is initially designed in 3-D and then translated into 2-D. The next steps involve creating a prototype and then proceeding to the final product.
Moving further, students were told about the challenges faced by the company. Officials told during the initial phase they faced challenges due to a lack of awareness about bulk raw material providers, resulting in higher costs compared to competitors. Subsequently, they conducted research and explored the market for more affordable raw materials.
The visit to the Cosy Toys Pvt. Ltd. provided valuable hands on experience and practical knowledge to the management students of DGI. The exposure to real world industrial processes and management practices offered a comprehensive understanding of the consumer goods industry functioning. Students gained practical insights that will aid in their future academic and professional endeavours.
