NSS Day Celebration

NSS Unit Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida in collaboration with Nehru Yuva Kendra, Gautam Budh Nagar celebrated “National Service Scheme (NSS) Day” on 24^th September 2024 with great enthusiasm and a sense of social responsibility.  Chief Guest of the celebration was Ms. Snegdha Singh (District Youth Officer Gautam Budh Nagar).

The celebration was organized with an objective to promote the idea of youth involvement in nation-building.

The program commenced with welcoming Chief Guest by Director.  Prof. (Dr.) Arpita Gupta (Director DGI) addressed the gathering, highlighting the importance of NSS in shaping responsible citizens and the key role it plays in community building.

The NSS Volunteers Anshika Jain (3^rd year CSIT) provided an overview of the session 2023-24 activities. Vedant (2^ndYear ECZ) highlighted the objective and importance of NSS in everyone’s life. Dev Bhargav (3^rd year CSE) explained the importance of Swachhhta in our life.

A keynote address was delivered by Ms Snegdha Singh. She spoke about the impact of youth on social change and the importance of community service. She encouraged students to be proactive in addressing societal challenges such as environmental sustainability, education for underprivileged children, and health awareness.

Volunteers who had shown exemplary dedication to various social activities were recognized with certificates of appreciation. The best-performing team in the cleanliness drive and plantation drive was also awarded. The list of students is-Sunidhi Tomar 4^th year CSE student, Richa Yadav 4^th year CSE Branch, Chhavi Chaudhary 4^th year CSE, Anshika Jain 3^rd year CSIT Branch, Ekansh Narayan Mishra 3^rd year CSE Branch and Nishu Sharma 3^rd year CSIT Branch.

The NSS Day celebration at DGI was a resounding success with active participation from students and faculty members. The event fostered a sense of belonging responsibility, and service to society among the students. The efforts of the NSS volunteers were highly appreciated and the day ended with a pledge by all attendees to continue working for the betterment of society through NSS initiatives.
