INNOMECH - 2015 (PROJECT COMPETITION)

A one day project display competition “INNOMECH - 2015” was organized by Department of Mechanical Engineering, Dronacharya Group of Institutions Greater Noida on 18th April, 2015. The objective of the event was to give students a platform to develop new ideas and showcase them in the form of projects. The event was coordinated by faculty member Mr. Brijesh Verma , Mr. Ankush Yadav and Mr. Anurag Sharma from department of Mechanical Engineering.
The inaugural session started with welcome note by Prof. S.K. Bagga (Director, DGI, Greater Noida), in which he encouraged the students to enthusiastically participate in the events. He conveyed the importance of ideas and research work for bright future of students.
Prof. D.V.Bhise (HOD - Mechanical Engineering) started his talk by conveying the idea of INNOMECH - 2015 and its importance to the students and guest as platform to showcase the projects.
Chief guest Mr. R. Ugesh (Engineer, Didactic), Festo India, gave knowledgeable speech and declared the starting of INNOMECH - 2015. He gave introductory view of Fasto India and shared his life experience with the students. He further added the value of innovation in the present world and importance of good projects for getting a better placement.

The students from Mechanical department showcased their projects. A total of 31 projects were displayed. The projects were judged by Mr. R. Ugesh and Prof. T P N Singh, Advisor, Research and Development, DGI, Greater Noida.
The event was concluded by presentation of momentum to the chief guest Mr. R. Ugesh and prize distribution ceremony. Prof. S. K Bagga, declared the name of the winners.
Avnish Kumar Yadav (6355), Kuldeep Chauhan (6374), Aditya Kumar (6370) and Waiz Khan (5358) secured first position for the project “Modified Desert Cooler” under the guidance of Mr. Anurag Sharma.
Rahul Chaurasiya (7381), Vicky Kala (7426) , Chitwan Dhuliya (7445) and Vikash Gupta (7427) secured second position for the project “Safety and Antitheft System” under the guidance of Mr. Ankush Yadav.
Ritesh Rai (7393), Shiva Chauhan (7408) , Rohit Karatia (7394) and Pradeep Kumar (7379) secured third position for the project “Autotracking Solar System ” under the guidance of Mr. Ankush Yadav.
The event INNOMECH 2015 enriched the knowledge of students with practical importance of projects and innovation, as well-designed projects encourage active inquiry and higher-level thinking.
