                National Android Apps Development Championship Final- Technoxian 2015

  The final round of one of India’s biggest National Level Android Apps Development Championship “Technoxian 2015” was held during 17th -19th April 2015 at IIT-Delhi Campus.   All winners of the Technoxian zonal level round who achieved   certificate of merit participated in this grand event. The objective of   this event was to encourage the technologically-talented students of our   country to embed innovation into the world of mobile application   development using Android environment. Around 80 teams from all over   India participated in this championship.
The first day (17th April, 2015) started with the inspiring speech by Mr. Pavan Kumar, Project Head, Team Technoxian. Subsequently the students registered for the competition.
On   the next day, to judge the knowledge of the students on the particular   domain, they were given multiple choice questions on Android to be   solve. Based on the performance in the quiz the highest scoring top 40   teams were selected. Then the shortlisted teams were asked to build a   particular app and the names of 10 teams who could fight it out in the   final round of the Grand Finale for the trophy by developing the   required app in the fastest possible time was announced.
The   final day of the workshop began with presentations from the NGO’s and   CSO’s showcasing activities and objectives of their respective   organizations. They shared their ideas for mobile applications that   could have social impact, improved governance and/or improve the   efficiency of their work. Then the teams who had made it to the final   round were asked to develop free-style apps of their choice within a   specified time limit. All the teams used their expertise and knowledge   that they had gained from the workshop that had been organized in the   event center round at the respective zonal centers. None were willing to   leave a single inch of opportunity.
It   was tough for the judges to decide the name of the winning team. All   hearts stopped beating before the names of the winners were announced.   Finally it was a matter of great pride and glory for the Dronacharyans   when the names of Ms. Rupinder Kaur, Mr. Navjot Singh, Ms. Rikankshi Joshi and Mr. Nikhil Singh of Information Technology and Computer Science & Engineering branch from Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida were announced as winners.
Mr. Raj Sharma, CEO of Team Technoxian handed over the winner’s trophy and a cheque of Rs. 30,000 to the winning team. It provided great motivation to one and all   present in the event to participate and make it even bigger next year.
