Awareness Rally on "World Population Day"

NSS Unit of Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida celebrated “World Population Day” on 11th July, 2023. The theme for World Population Day 2023 was ‘Unleashing the power of gender equality: Uplifting the voices of women and girls to unlock our world's infinite possibilities’. 35 students of B.Tech 1st year participated in the celebration activities.
The day served to highlight the alarming problem that is being faced by the Country. Under the guidance of Dr. Mamta Bhardwaj (NSS PO), an awareness rally was conducted at Tilwara (adopted village of DGI) to make the locals aware about issues such as family planning, gender equality and maternal health. Students carried posters and placards depicting messages related to need for family planning and curbing social issues. They also had hands on interaction with the villagers regarding importance of sinking the population.
The rally proved to be very successful as there was a positive response from the villagers. The locals thanked the students for having discussion on certain pressing issues.
