Celebrating Hindi Diwas: A Celebration of Language, Culture and Expression

NSS Units, Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida, celebrated Hindi Diwas on 14th September 2026 by organising a Speech-cum-Kavya Abhivyakti Competition, coordinated by Pushkar Nagar (AIML, Second Year) and Pallavi (CSIT, Second Year). The programme was organised to celebrate the richness of the Hindi language and provide students with a creative platform to express their thoughts, ideas, and perspectives through speech and poetry.
Based on the theme “Digital Yug Mein Hindi: BharatiyaSanskriti, Yuva Shakti aur Abhivyakti ki Bhasha,” the competition witnessed enthusiastic participation from B.Tech students across all years and branches. Participants shared their views on the relevance of Hindi in the digital era, its role in preserving Indian culture, the contribution of youth towards promoting the language, and its importance as a powerful medium of expression.
Prof. Vishnu Kuntal, Department of Mechanical Engineering, and Dr. Lavi Deval, Department of Applied Sciences and Humanities, judged the competition. Their evaluation focused on the participants’ content, confidence, expression, creativity, and presentation skills, while their appreciation encouraged students to showcase their linguistic and creative abilities with greater confidence.
Adding to the spirit of the celebration, the competition recognised outstanding performances across the participating students. Oshana Arora (CSE, First Year) secured the First Position, Krishna Mishra (AIML, Second Year) won the Second Position, and Anshika Upadhyay (CSE, First Year) secured the Third Position.
The celebration provided a meaningful platform for students to appreciate Hindi as a language of culture, creativity, identity, and expression while reflecting on its continued relevance in the digital age. The enthusiastic participation and vibrant presentations made the Hindi Diwas celebration a memorable and engaging occasion.
