Republic Day 2025 Celebrations

NSS Cell, Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida in collaboration with Veteran India celebrated the 76th Republic Day of India on 26th January, 2025, with great patriotic zeal and enthusiasm. The event was graced by the presence of Chief Guest Major General (Dr.) Naresh Badhani. The celebration aimed to instill patriotism, unity, and a sense of responsibility among students, faculty, and their families. The celebration featured a series of engaging activities, cultural performances and inspiring addresses by esteemed guests.
The event commenced with the ceremonial escorting of distinguished Dr. Naresh Badhani (Chief Guest), Dr. Arpita Gupta (Director), Dr. S.K. Srivastava (Registrar), Dr. Ritu Soryan (Dean Student Welfare) and all Heads of Departments to the main venue. This was followed by the solemn unfurling of the national flag by chief and the singing of the national anthem, led by NSS volunteers.
The program included a welcome address by the Director, setting the tone for the day's festivities. Then Chief Guest Dr. Naresh Badhani, delivered an inspiring speech, recounting his battlefield experiences and highlighting the significance of discipline, courage, and national service. He emphasized the significance of the Republic Day and the values enshrined in the Constitution. He motivated students to play an active role in the nation’s development through innovation, dedication and ethical responsibility.
A thought-provoking rap performance on the role of the Constitution by Diwakar captivated the audience, followed by a series of cultural performances. Shourya Bhardwaj, Nitu Rani, Anjali, Priyanka, and Srilahiri delivered energetic dance performances while Mr. Ashish Patel (Faculty DGI) recited a heartfelt poem on freedom fighters. The DGI Band, led by Shobhit and Tushar Pokhriyal, enriched the celebration with patriotic musical renditions and Nirti Shukla delivered an inspiring speech
Adding to the cultural vibrance, a special program titled "Swarnim Bharat" was presented by NSS volunteers. Radha Tiwari showcased yoga postures, Srilahiri performed a classical song, Anisha sang a patriotic song, and Sachin demonstrated Taekwondo skills highlighting the spirit of discipline and strength.
The celebration saw enthusiastic participation from students, faculty members, and their families, with special invitees from NGOs. The parade and salute to the national flag and dignitaries demonstrated the discipline and coordination of the NSS volunteers. The cultural performances beautifully captured the essence of patriotism and unity.
The event concluded with a prize distribution ceremony that recognized the achievements of students in races and cultural performances along with the felicitation of faculty members for their academic contributions. Gifts were also presented to family members and children, fostering a spirit of inclusivity and community.
The celebration concluded with a vote of thanks by Registrar Dr. S.K. Srivastava, followed by a brunch for all attendees, leaving everyone with a sense of fulfillment and national pride.
