Participation in Pre-Republic Day Camp Held at BIT Patna
10th - 19th November 2024
Two NSS volunteers Dev Bhargav (3rd Year CSE Dept.) and Ritu Chahar (2nd Year AIML Dept.) from Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida participated the Pre-Republic Day Camp held at BIT Patna from 10th – 19th November 2024. The Pre-Republic Day Camp 2024 saw participation from six states of the Central Zone: Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Jharkhand, Bihar and Chhattisgarh.
Team DCE reached at the venue on the evening of 9th November 2024. The BIT Patna campus was visually stunning, and the training officially commenced on the following day. The schedule was rigorous, demanding both physical and mental discipline.
Each day began at 4 AM, with participants assembling on the ground for invigorating yoga and Zumba sessions. The activities were both refreshing and energizing, setting a positive tone for the rest of the day. After breakfast, volunteers were engaged in parade practice from 9 AM to 12:30 PM. While the drills were challenging, they were also rewarding and fostered a sense of camaraderie among the participants.
Post-lunch, academic sessions were conducted by esteemed speakers who addressed various significant topics. These sessions were highly interactive and provided valuable insights. The day continued with another round of parade practice from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
In the evening, cultural programs showcased the diversity of the participating states, with performances highlighting their unique traditions and heritage.
The selection process began on 17th November 2024. Members of the main Republic Day Team observed and evaluated participants' activities throughout the day. The phase was both intense and enjoyable, as it provided an opportunity to demonstrate the skills and discipline honed during the camp.
On the final day, 19th November 2024, medals and certificates were awarded to participants in recognition of their efforts and achievements.
