Diwali Celebration at Vishwas

SMILE (Sharing Moments and Illuminating Lives Everywhere) Club of Dronacharya Group Of Institutions, Greater Noida celebrated Diwali, the festival of lights with full gaiety with the inmates of Vishwas on 4th November 2015.
The objective of the program was to share the festive moments of light with the inmates of Vishwas and do something different from their usual routine activities.
VISHWAS, The Richmond Fellowship Society (India), Delhi has been providing psychosocial rehabilitation to the people suffering from mental illness particularly Schizophrenia and allied disorders. It runs a Halfway Home and Day Care Centre in Greater Noida which is a satellite town of Delhi. The aim is to rehabilitate patients suffering from mental illness and integrate them back with the family and community.
The inmates of Vishwas were delighted to meet the volunteers of DGI Smile Club. The celebration began with introduction with inmates of Vishwas and Volunteers of Smile Club. The student Volunteers started with their singing and dance performances one after the other. The inmates enjoyed their performance and praised them for conducting such activity as it was something different than their usual routine. Students also played a game of passing the parcel with a ball where everyone who was caught had to dance or perform anything of their interest. Sweets were distributed amongst the members. It brought beautiful Smile on their faces. It also developed the feelings of love and affection between the SMILE volunteers and Vishwas inmates.
The volunteers of DGI Smile Club were full of joy and experienced the value sharing happiness. With the spirit of celebration and love the volunteers of SMILE Club were successful in bringing light of hope in the lives of inmates of Vishwas.
