Aon Hewitt Campus Placement

Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida hosted the Campus Placement drive for Aon Hewitt on May 27th, 2015. The target branches were B. Tech CSE/IT/ECE and MCA batch 2015.
This placement was in association with NIIT Limited. NIIT is the official hiring partner for Aon Hewitt.
Aon Hewitt (formerly known as Hewitt Associates) is a provider of human capital and management consulting services headquartered in Lincolnshire, United States. It operates 500 offices in 120 countries providing consulting, outsourcing, and reinsurance brokerage services.
The company was founded in 1940 and ceased to exist as an independent entity at the completion of its purchase by Aon in October 2010. Hewitt's operations were merged at that time with some elements of Aon's consulting arm to become a new subsidiary of the Aon Group called Aon Hewitt.
Aon plc is the leading global provider of risk management, insurance and reinsurance brokerage, and human resources solutions and outsourcing services. Their key advantage is the broad view of two of the most important issues in the economy today: risk and people. With an employee base of 66,000 people working in more than 120 countries, they can anticipate how changes in one sector impact another.
Officials from NIIT limited visited the college to facilitate the event. Ms. Pallavi Chatterjee along with her TEAM of Talent Acquisition visited the premises for the same.
Around 600 students from various colleges like Jayoti Vidyapeeth -Jaipur, Galgotia’s College of Engineering & Technology –Greater Noida, Inderprastha Engineering College (IPEC) –Ghaziabad, Manav Rachna - Faridabad, Ajay Kumar Garg Engineering College-Ghaziabad, GLA University- Mathura, B. S. Anangpuria- Faridabad, SRM University- Ghaziabad, Lingaya’s University, JSS-Noida, Sharda University- Greater Noida, Mangalayatan University, RKGIT- Ghaziabad, NIET-Greater Noida, JK Lakshmipat University, Guru Tegh Bahadur Institute of Technology, Arya College of Engineering &Technology, B K Birla Institute of Engineering & Technology participated in the campus placement drive.
The first round was the company’s presentation in which the students were told all the terms and conditions of the profile and also regarding the training module. This was delivered by Ms. Chatterjee.
The next round was an online Aptitude test in which the students were gauged on various aspects of critical and analytical thinking abilities. The main intention was to check their IQ level. Out of 600 approx. students who appeared for the test, 400 cleared it and moved to the next round that was the Group Discussion.
In the GD, the students were divided in groups of 20 each and were gauged on their soft skills, communication skills, and their leadership abilities on how to lead a group of 19 other people and take their opinion as well. The students went on and presented their views on various topics as given by the TEAM NIIT.
All the shortlisted students moved to the 3rd round post GD which was AON’s GATE assessment. This is a unique Psychometric tool to gauge the thinking level of the young engineers. GATE was divided into 3 levels of modules. This had the Analytical section, Communication section and the Soft Skills section. The duration was 90 mins for this test.
Around 100 students could clear the trickiest module of GATE test. All these students went through the documentation part. Their docket containing all the paperwork were made and further they will be proceeded to the AON’s office for L1 and L2 technical screening. The details of which shall be shared with the students and the college.
The entire activity came to a rest at midnight with the thank you note from Director- Dr. S K Bagga, DGI, Gr. Noida.
