MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING: RED HAT ACADEMY

On 8th May 2015 Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida became first institution in Northern India to become a Red Hat Academy Partner. The main motive behind the academy partnership with Red Hat, one of the world’s leading provider of open source solutions, was to motivate students to develop skills on Linux and contribute to the open source projects, which is highly relevant towards their final year academic projects and at the same time give them an equivalent on-the-job experience.
Mr. Arun Eapen, Technical Delivery Manager & Certification Poobah Red Hat India Pvt. Ltd. and Mr. Alok Srivastava, CEO of Network Nuts Pvt. Ltd. Technology Partner was present on this auspicious occasion. They interacted with the students of the institute who were highly excited for knowing the benefits that they would be gaining from this partnership.
The young Dronacharyans were ecstatic to learn that the Partnership would provide a highly subsidized rate for certification and training of Red Hat technologies, in turn opening a vast avenue of jobs with the emerging role of open source in the world of Information Technology. They rejoiced to know that they could become the following types of Linux Professionals:-
System Administrators Network Administrators
Security Administrators Data Center Specialist
Migration Specialists Web Developer
Kernel and Device Driver Developers
Knowledge of Red Hat, the Linux giant would be essential for any of the mentioned functions. Beyond that, system level programming, PHP, etc., would help them seek career as developers, application porting and migration specialists.
After the interactive seminar, Prof. (Dr.) SK Bagga on behalf of Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida andMr. Arun Eapen on behalf of Red Hat signed the Memorandum of Understanding for the establishment of Red Hat Academy at Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida. The twilight of the setting sun remained an evidence for yet one of the important achievements of Dronacharya Group.
With an increasing demand of skilled workforce in the open source platform and a paradigm shift of open source platforms from the technological imagination to mainstream business reality, Dronacharya Group of Institutions proved its excellence in the academic field yet again and moved several steps ahead to claim its dominance in the world of engineering education.
