Campus Placement Drive for IBM India Private Limited

Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida hosted the Campus Placement Drive for IBM for B.Tech (CSE/CSIT/IT/ECE/EEE) Batch 2020, 2019 & 2018 from 27th - 29th January, 2020. DGI was the center of all the colleges in Delhi/NCR/Ghaziabad.
IBM India Private Limited is the Indian subsidiary of IBM. It has facilities in Bengaluru, Ahmedabad, Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai, Chennai, Pune, Gurgaon, Noida, Bhubaneswar, Coimbatore, Visakhapatnam and Hyderabad.
IBM India has grown to an extent where it poses a stiff challenge to home grown Software companies of India in IT global delivery and manpower attraction/retention. It now operates the following business lines from India which contributes to worldwide IBM in a global delivery framework: India Software Labs (ISL), India Research Lab (IRL), Linux Technology Centre, Global Business Services(GBS), Global Technology Services (GTS) formerly known as ITD-GD (Information Technology Delivery – Global Delivery), Global Business Solutions Centre (GBSC), Sales & Distribution (S&D), Integrated Technology Services (ITS).
Day 1 : 27th January, 2020
Mr. Saurabh along with his team visited the college campus. They were welcomed by Prof. (Dr.) Ashish Soti - Director DGIGN. After a short formal conversation, Mr. Saurabh started with the company’s presentation and explained students the job responsibilities.
After presentation session, the prescreening of Batch 2020 students was done on the basis Cognitive Ability Games (Cognify). Around 190 candidates participated in the campus recruitment drive on Day 1. 55 candidates were qualified after the first round. Qualified candidates were then assessed on Learning Agility Assessments and English Language Test Finally 27 candidates were qualified for the Interview Process on Day 1.
Day 2 : 28th January, 2020
The Prescreening of Batch 2019 & 2018 students were done on the basis Cognitive Ability Games (Cognify).
Around 150 candidates participated in the campus recruitment drive on Day 2. 30 students were qualified after the first round. Qualified candidates were then assessed on Learning Agility Assessments and English Language Test. Finally 16 candidates were qualified for the Interview Process on Day 2.
Day 3 : 29th January, 2020
All shortlisted candidates appeared in the Interview Process which was indeed grilling. Each student was tested for about a couple of hours to gauge their technical expertise.
The result of the final activity is still awaited.
The placement ended with a vote of thanks by Prof. (Dr.) Ashish Soti - Director - DGI.
