Independence Day
15th August 2023
The 76th Independence Day (15th August, 2023) was celebrated with great enthusiasm by Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida. Prof. (Dr.) Seema Shukla (Director, DGI) unfurled the National Flag in the ceremonial way. With the hoisting of National Flag, Students and Staff sung the National Anthem
Dr. Seema Shukla gave a motivational and patriotic speech. She said: It's a day when we all get together to honour and commemorate the heroic freedom fighters who made our nation free. In addition, she also explained the meaning of Independence Day to the assemblage. She also highlighted each Indian citizen's obligations and rights. The students participated energetically and devotionally in the event. Afterwards, Ekansh Narayan Mishra (Student, DGI) acknowledged the audience with the historical facts of Independence. The program was coordinated by Mr. Chandranshu (B.Tech 3rd year student.)
After this a plantation drive was organized in the college premises. Students and the members of Dronacharya participated in the drive actively. It was a great initiative to make the atmosphere neat and clean. By tree plantation, an ecosystem free of greenhouse gases to reduce global warming could be created.
A rally was held by faculty members, non-teaching staff and students as a part of the "Har Ghar Tiranga" campaign to celebrate 76 years of India's Independence. The objective of the 'Har Ghar Tiranga' was to create a sense of patriotism, national pride and belongingness.
There was a feeling of pride and patriotism in everyone’s heart. The program concluded with a vote of thanks.
