World Entrepreneurs Day: Case Study Competition

Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC), Ministry of Education (MoE), of Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida organized a “Case Study Competition” on the occasion of World Entrepreneurs Day celebrated on 21st August 2023. 56 students participated in the event.
The competition aimed to encourage strategic thinking, and entrepreneurial mindset among the participating students, offering them a platform to showcase their business awareness.
The competition was organized with following key Objectives:
Promoting Entrepreneurship: The competition aimed to instill a sense of entrepreneurship among students, encouraging them to think creatively and critically while addressing complex business problems.
Strategic Thinking: Participants were expected to develop effective strategies to overcome challenges, showcasing their ability to analyze situations from multiple perspectives and devise comprehensive solutions.
Collaboration and Networking: The event provided an opportunity for students to collaborate with peers, enhancing their teamwork and networking skills by engaging in discussions and brainstorming sessions.
Application of Knowledge: By presenting participants with real-world cases, the competition facilitated the application of theoretical concepts to practical scenarios, fostering a deeper understanding of business dynamics.
The Case Study Competition commenced with an introductory speech from Prof. Sanghamitra V Arora, IIC Convenor. She emphasized on the importance of innovation and entrepreneurship in today's rapidly evolving business landscape. This was followed by the announcement of the competition guidelines and the distribution of case study materials. Participants were divided into teams, each comprising diverse skill sets. The case studies were carefully curated to cover a wide range of industries, challenges and opportunities, ensuring an enriching experience for all participants. The teams were given a stipulated time to analyze the case, identify key issues, and develop innovative strategies. The evaluation criteria included the originality of solutions, feasibility, strategic thinking, presentation skills, and the overall impact of the proposed strategies. The event showcased a remarkable display of creative thinking, meticulous analysis, and well-crafted strategies. The winners were awarded certificates as a testament to their dedication and exceptional problem-solving skills.
The event empowered participants to embrace challenges and develop innovative solutions—an essential skill set for aspiring entrepreneurs in today's dynamic business environment. The initiative marked a significant step towards nurturing a generation of enterprising individuals poised to make a lasting impact on the world. The event ended with a vote of thanks from Prof. Sanghamitra V Arora, IIC Convenor.
