"Intra Institutional Idea Competition : Manage Through YUKTI - NIR"
27th - 29th October 2022
Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC), Ministry of Education (MoE), Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida organized an “Intra Institutional Idea Competition: Manage Through YUKTI – NIR” from 27th - 29th October, 2022. 88 students from 2nd and 3rd year of B.Tech participated in the competition. The guidelines of the competition were circulated beforehand to the students. Those willing to participate were asked to complete the registration process. They were required to participate in a team consisting of maximum 4 students.
The objectives of the competition were to make students think beyond the curriculum, to provide an opportunity for expression of creative thoughts and to instill research culture among students.
Day 1: 27th October, 2022
On day 1, all the registered participants were asked to gather in conference room. Prof. (Dr.) K.K.Saini (Director-DGI) gave some simple yet useful points to be kept in mind to perform well in the competition. He also motivated the participants to dare to think differently. Before the presentation of the ideas, each team showed their PPT to the mentor assigned to them and they refined their piece of work by giving valuable inputs.
Teams from CSE/CSIT/IT department presented their innovative ideas by way of impressive presentations on day 1. IIC Innovation Ambassadors of the college were the judges of the competition and they evaluated the ideas on the feasibility of the idea, way of presenting the idea and the changes it can bring to the development of the new or existing technology. 5 teams were shortlisted for the final round of the competition.
Day 2: 28th October, 2022
On day 2, teams of ECE/EEE/ECS/ME presented their ideas for which they brain stormed for several days. Team leaders presented the problems with proposed solution. They were also judged on the same parameters and 5 teams were shortlisted for the final round.
On each day, the participants received many valuable feedbacks from the evaluators and were asked to make editing in the final presentation which was scheduled to be presented in front of external judge.
Day 3: 29th October, 2022
Ms. Priyanka Madnani (Founder- Easy to pitch) was the judge of the final round. Before starting of the competition, she motivated the participants and told the points of consideration while presenting their ideas. She explained importance of making a good pitch for their ideas. Then, the shortlisted teams presented their ideas in front of her. They made good pitches also.
All the participant’s efforts were applauded and the participants of top three ideas: Artificial Bio Gills, C-5 and MEDICAB were awarded with Certificate of Achievement.
The competition proved to be a great success as the objectives of competition were achieved.
