Management Consulting Program under the aegis of Consultancy Development Centre (CDC), DSIR, Ministry of Science & Technology, Govt. of India was conducted at Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida from 25th - 28th September 2018. The Resource Persons who conducted the program are registered experts with CDC. Prof. TPN Singh, Advisor (R&D) was the convener of the program.
The Management Consulting Program was of 20 hours duration spread over four days. The examination of the participants for certification was held on 1st Oct 2018.
Mr. S.K. Lalwani, Director Projects, Consultancy Development Centre inaugurated the session on 25 Sept. 2018. He delivered the key note address and emphasized the important role played by consultants in the economic development of the country. He said that the consulting sector has positioned itself as one of the promising areas for growth and advancement of the nation. Management Consulting has assumed important dimension in Consulting Services to complete large and complex assignments within cost and time frame work. He emphasized that the consultants must be equipped with knowledge and skills for value addition in service delivery and brand building and also maintain excellent relationship with clients. He exhorted the participants to enter the domain of consulting and add value to themselves and the society. The inaugural session was attended by Prof. B. L. Kaul, Registrar, Prof. TPN Singh, Advisor (R&D), Head of departments & registered candidtaes.
The session on 25 Sep 2018 was conducted by Mr. Dipankar Mukherjee on Management Consulting Concepts and Marketing of Management Consulting Services. On 26 Sep 2018 session was conducted by Mr. S. C. Gandhi on Communication Skills, Negotiation Skills and Presentation Skills for Management Consultants. Likewise on 27 Sep 2018, Mr. Satish Sehta, National Manager, Business Development, Institution of Civil Engineers (UK) conducted session on Consultant Client Relationship, Consulting Proposals and Reports. Mr. Amitava Basu, former Executive Director, PWC took session on 28 Sep 2018 on Securing and Delivering a Management Consulting Assignment respectively. The resource persons covered wide range of topics on Management Consulting and gave a holistic approach to consultancy.
The participants exhibited keen interest and involvement towards the program. They have willingly accepted to have management consulting as one of the career options.
