One Day Hands-on Workshop on JAVA

Department of Computer Science & Engineering, Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida organized a One Day Hands on Workshop on JAVA on 17th September 2018 in association with DGI - CSI Student Branch. The workshop was organized for the students of B. Tech 3rd and 4th year CSE and CSIT Department as a part of institution's continuous effort of developing project based learning approach in students through practical sessions.
The training was imparted by Mr. Somprakash Rai, CEO - JTC Noida.
The program started with a motivating speech by Honorable Director, Prof. (Dr.) Ashish Soti. He encouraged the participants and suggested them to take up some projects based on the learning gained after the workshop.
Giving an overview of JAVA, Mr. Rai said that it has significant advantages not only as a commercial language but also as a teaching language. He said that it allows students to learn object-oriented programming without being exposed to the complexity of C++. It provides the kind of rigorous compile-time error checking typically associated with Pascal. It also allows instructors to introduce students to GUI programming, networking, threads, and other important concepts used in modern-day software.
Mr. Rai started the first session with the explanation of various software development building approaches which included a detailed discussion of client side and server side scripting including the theoretical concept of Spring and Hibernate. Mr. Rai then discussed current topics in core JAVA which are frequently asked in technical interviews.
During the second session Mr. Rai deliberated upon Core JAVA Concepts in detail. He focused on Objects, Classes and Hash Code concepts of JAVA in depth.
The workshop helped the participants understand the significance of Java.
