Student Alumni Connection

The Department of ECE & EEE organized the event Student Alumni Connection on 8th September 2018 at Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida. Mr. Ravi Yadav, R&D Engineer, Synopsys, Batch of 2009-13 and Mr. Rishikesh, Data Architect, Batch of 2011-15 were the invited speakers at the event. Prof. (Dr.) Ashish Soti, Honorable Director, DGI, Greater Noida in his welcome address said that the objective of such events was to connect the alumni with the current students which would help them to streamline their efforts towards placement and competitive examination preparation. Prof. B. L. Kaul, Honorable Registrar, DGI, Greater Noida in his address said that such events are intended to build a strong connection with the alumni.
In the first session, Mr. Ravi Yadav, who is involved in designing of memory, especially Cache Memory at chip level, illustrated the topics like SRAM, working of diode and charging of capacitors which are essential for memory designing. He said that students should concentrate on the GATE examination as that would open an ocean of new opportunities for them. He shared his life experience, the hurdles faced by him in achieving his goals and how he was able to overcome those with determination and hard work. He also cherished the memories of his time in the college as a student. He involved the students during the session by making it very interactive and informative.
Next session was conducted by Mr. Rishikesh Kumar. He cited various motivational examples from his life. He advised the students not to act in haste or get impatient while chasing their dreams. He said a person will definitely taste success when the appropriate time comes untill then all must continue to work hard. He opined that failures are the mentors and part of life. He later discussed about his journey from college to industry. He motivated the students to learn Python, JAVA and SQL which would add to their career growth.
The event concluded with memento presentation to the Alumni.
