Workshop on C & C++

A one day workshop on C & C++ was conducted by Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay on 29th February 2020 at Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida (IIT RC - 1316) through A - View. The workshop was meant for faculties from technical institutions to enhance the skills which in turn would be beneficial for students and teachers from various technical institutes. The workshop was organized under the aegis of Pandit Madan Mohan Malaviya National Mission on Teachers and Teaching (PMMMNMTT) funded by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India.
25 participants from technical institutions across the Greater Noida Region participated in the workshop at Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida (IIT RC - 1316) which was coordinated by Mr. Bipin Pandey, Assistant Professor, CSE Department, Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida.
The workshop was inaugurated by Prof. Kannan Moudgalya, Principal Investigator, PMMMNMTT, IIT Bombay. Prof. Moudgalya briefed the participants on C & C++ and how they are useful in current scenario.
Giving a brief of the course, Prof. Kannan Moudgalya - Spoken Tutorial Coordinator, IIT Bombay said, FOSSEE (Free / Libre and Open Source Software for Education) project at IIT Bombay has been promoting R, and other FLOSS software, such as Python, Scilab, OpenFOAM, eSim, Osdag, OpenModelica, DWSIM & LINUX, and Open Source hardware, such as Arduino and OpenPLC. FOSSEE is also funded by NMEICT, MHRD. Government of India has mandated the use of open source software.
After the inaugural session the participants attended the lab session in which they have a hand on session using spoken tutorial. Last was the question and answer session. The workshop ended with valedictory session by IIT-Bombay FOSSEE Team through A - VIEW.
