Campus Placement Drive for IBM India Private Limited

Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida hosted the Campus Placement Drive for IBM for B.Tech (CSE/CSIT/IT/ECE/EEE) Batch 2019, 2018 & 2020 on February 15th & 16th, 2020
IBM India Private Limited is the Indian subsidiary of IBM. It has facilities in Bengaluru, Ahmedabad, Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai, Chennai, Pune, Gurgaon, Noida, Bhubaneswar, Coimbatore, Visakhapatnam and Hyderabad.
Between 2003 and 2007, IBM's head count in India has grown by almost 800%, from 9,000 in 2003 to nearly 74,000 in 2007. Since 2006, IBM has been the multinational with the largest number of employees in India. IBM is very secretive about the geographic distribution of its employees. By most estimates, it has close to a third of its 430,000 employees (~ 140,000) in India, and it likely has more employees there than in the US.
Day 1 - February 15, 2020
Mr. Saurabh and his Colleague Ms. Shilpa from IBM visited the College.
They were welcomed by Prof. (Dr.) Ashish Soti - Director DGIGN. After a short formal conversation, Mr. Saurabh started with the company’s presentation. And he carries a very wide industry experience and come from a rich background. He explained the students about the job responsibilities and advised that the company is looking forward to hire.
After this session, The Prescreening of Batch 2018, 2019 & 2020 students were done on the basis Cognitive Ability Games (Cognify). And DGI was the center of all the colleges in Delhi/NCR/Ghaziabad.
Around 320 candidates participated in the campus recruitment drive on Day 1, out of which 85 candidates were qualified after the first round. Qualified candidates were then assessed on Learning Agility Assessments and English Language Test and out of which 55 candidates were qualified for the Interview Process on Day 1.
Day 2
February 16, 2020
All Shortlisted candidates appeared in the Interview Process which was indeed grilling. Each student was tested for about a couple of hours to gauge their technical expertise.
The result of the final activity is still awaited.
The placement ended at 05:00 PM with a vote of thanks by Ms. Rich Jaiswal, Training & Placement Officer.
