Igniting Dreams, Inspiring Futures: Orientation & Induction 2026

Dronacharya Group of Institutions hosted a vibrant two-day Orientation & Induction Programme 2026 on 13th and 14th August 2026 to warmly welcome the newly admitted B.Tech and MBA students along with their parents. Guided by the inspiring theme “A New Chapter Begins – Dream Big, Learn More, Achieve Greatness,” the programme created an energetic and memorable start to the students’ academic journey, bringing together inspiration, industry exposure, cultural vibrancy, achievement and new beginnings.
An auspicious Havan Ceremony marked the commencement of the programme, invoking blessings and positivity for the new academic session. Students and parents were warmly welcomed and registered, setting an uplifting tone for the exciting journey ahead.
Warm words of encouragement from Prof. (Dr.) B. M. K. Prasad, General Director, and Dr. Sangeeta Mangesh Karyakarte, Director, added inspiration to the inaugural proceedings. Their addresses encouraged students to embrace discipline, dedication, continuous learning and active participation in academic as well as co-curricular activities.
INDUSTRY LEADERS. REAL-WORLD INSIGHTS. FUTURE-READY MINDS.
A powerful series of expert and corporate interactions brought industry perspectives closer to the freshers. Mr. Sanketh Ramkrishnamurthy, Global Head of People Operations, Auto RABIT, delivered an insightful session on “Shaping Future Engineers,” sharing his global experience and encouraging students to build strong fundamentals, develop a learning attitude and become effective team players.
Adding valuable perspectives on employability and emerging technologies, Ms. Manjari Misra, VP-HR Leader, Coforge, addressed the students on “Career Readiness & Emerging Technologies.” Her session highlighted the importance of developing relevant skills early and staying updated with the changing technological landscape.
A corporate perspective came from Mr. Neeraj Narang, Senior Director: Global HCM Product Strategy & APAC Lead, Oracle, who conducted a Corporate Connect Session and encouraged students to think beyond conventional boundaries while planning their careers with a global outlook.
Bridging the gap between academic learning and professional expectations, Mr. Deepanshu Anand, Global TA Leader, Branding & Academia Strategist, Life and Career Coach, conducted the session “Bridging Academia and Industry.” His insights motivated students to use their college years strategically and develop skills aligned with industry requirements.
Adding further industry perspectives, Ms. Bhawna Prasad, HR Head, Thoughts2Binary Pvt. Ltd., shared valuable insights into employer expectations and encouraged students to cultivate a professional attitude from the very beginning. Ms. Pragati Gupta, Senior HR Executive, Thoughts 2 Binary Pvt. Ltd., further inspired students to build confidence, strengthen communication and make the most of the opportunities available during their college years.
Beyond the insightful sessions, senior students added colour and youthful energy to the occasion with vibrant performances including Nostalgia on Stage, Bollywood Dhamaka, Filmy Fusion and Unity in Diversity. Their captivating presentations created an atmosphere of celebration while showcasing the creativity and cultural diversity of the campus community.
Moments of achievement added another highlight to Day 1 as outstanding achievers were honoured during the Excellence Award and Recognition Ceremonies. Certificates of appreciation were also presented to participants who contributed papers to an international conference held in Malaysia, celebrating their academic initiative and global exposure.
Interactions such as Meet Your Leaders & Departmental Mentors, networking sessions, the Professional Evolution Walk and the commemorative group photograph gave students an opportunity to connect with mentors, understand their new academic environment and begin building meaningful relationships.
DAY 2 – ENERGY, INNOVATION & FUTURE POSSIBILITIES
Day 2 began with renewed enthusiasm through the Opening Ceremony, Welcome Address and Manglacharan, carrying forward the positive momentum of the first day.
Fresh perspectives on innovation and career development followed through a series of engaging industry sessions. Ms. Bhavna Singh, Senior Manager–Talent Acquisition, HROne, addressed students on “Innovation & Future Skills,” encouraging them to strengthen creativity, problem-solving abilities and skills relevant to the future workplace.
Exploring the changing engineering landscape, Ms. Ayana, Sr. Manager HR – Early Careers, Comviva, delivered “Future of Engineering & Industry Perspective.” Her session helped students understand evolving industry expectations and the opportunities emerging for young engineering professionals.
A motivational and career-focused perspective came from Ms. Aanchal Tandon, Senior Manager HR, HCL Tech, who addressed students on “Building a Future-Ready Mindset.” She encouraged them to remain positive, face challenges with confidence, continue learning and develop a strong professional attitude.
Highlighting the importance of innovation and continuous development, Ms. Pooja Khurana Sehgal, Associate Director–Workforce Management, Coforge, delivered “Inspiring Innovation & Lifelong Learning.” Her professional journey reinforced the message that learning continues well beyond the completion of a degree.
Mr. Deepak Pillai, Vice President Sales & Marketing, RCV Technologies, further enriched the programme with his industry experience, motivating students to develop communication skills, confidence and business awareness.
Keeping the energy levels high, senior students once again took centre stage with Rhythms of India, Western Wave, Hip-Hop Hustle and Desi Tadka. The performances drew enthusiastic applause from students, parents, faculty members and guests, reflecting the vibrant spirit and creative culture of campus life.
CELEBRATING EXCELLENCE
A proud moment arrived with the Excellence Awards and Recognition Ceremony, where approximately 28 GATE-qualified students were honoured with Excellence Awards of ₹10,000 each. The Best Department Award was presented to the APS Department, accompanied by prize money of ₹2,00,000, adding another memorable achievement to the two-day celebration.
A GRAND FINALE TO REMEMBER
Networking lunch, student entertainment, the Grand Finale and Welcome Kit Distribution brought the two-day celebration to an exciting close. What began with introductions and anticipation evolved into an experience filled with connections, inspiration, confidence and a strong sense of belonging.
Across the two action-packed days, distinguished professionals shared not just industry advice but also their career journeys, challenges, experiences and lessons learned. Their messages consistently emphasised discipline, communication, teamwork, adaptability, continuous learning and a positive attitude—qualities that can help students transform their college years into a strong foundation for their future careers.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. Shailesh Kumar Singh, Registrar, who expressed gratitude to the distinguished guests, speakers, faculty members, coordinators, staff and student volunteers for their valuable contribution to the successful event.
More than an induction programme, the two-day celebration became a powerful launchpad for new aspirations, new friendships and new possibilities. With inspiring industry leaders, dedicated mentors, a vibrant campus community and countless opportunities ahead, the newest members of the institution stepped confidently into their next chapter.
