Awareness Session on “Decoding Women’s Health”

Dronacharya Group of Institutions organized an Awareness Session on “Decoding Women’s Health” on 13th February 2026. The session was specially arranged for B.Tech First Year girl students with the objective of spreading essential health awareness and empowering young women to make informed decisions regarding their physical and emotional well-being.
The programme was smoothly anchored by Dr. Neelam Baghel (Assistant Professor
Department of Mechanical Engineering), who commenced the session with a warm welcome address. She highlighted the importance of health literacy among young women and emphasized the need to foster open and confident discussions on health-related issues. Her introductory remarks set a positive and engaging tone for the session.
The event was graced by the esteemed presence of Dr. Puja Sharma, MD (Obstetrics & Gynaecology), FMAS, FICOG, Director of Daksh Clinic and Senior Consultant – Gynaecology & Obstetrics at Apollo Cradle. In her insightful address, Dr. Sharma elaborated on crucial aspects of women’s health, including menstrual hygiene, hormonal balance, reproductive health, prevention of common infections, and the significance of regular medical check-ups. She also stressed the importance of breaking myths and removing the stigma associated with discussing women’s health concerns.
The session was highly interactive, with students actively participating and raising questions related to menstrual health, common symptoms of lifestyle disorders, and preventive healthcare measures. Dr. Sharma addressed each query with clarity, empathy, and practical guidance, making the discussion both informative and reassuring for the attendees. Visual presentations and real-life examples further enhanced the understanding of key topics.
